On October 18, 2019, on the base of the National research oncology center (hereinafter-NROC) in Nur-Sultan an event dedicated to NROC patients receiving treatment and expressing gratitude to the team of NROC specialists was held.

As is known, NROC doctors perform unique operations in the field of organ transplantation, saving dozens of lives.

Balgereeva Botagoz Khansultanovna organized the event, NROC patient has overcome the diagnosis of "liver cancer". She had been fighting the disease for a long time and needed an organ transplant to survive.

Her name was included in the list of 3.5 thousand patients who urgently needed the fastest possible liver transplant.

Scary statistics claim that every year thousands of people with this diagnosis die while waiting for a donor.

Botagoz hated the idea of someone having to die for her to get a donor organ.

But there was another way.

NROC doctors suggested liver transplantation from a living donor, especially a relative, since it is a related donor that is considered the most preferable option: the risk of rejection in this case is less, and there is no need to wait for the medical organization to receive a suitable organ. Botagoz has banned her two sons from taking any tests.

However, her youngest son disobeyed his mother and passed all the tests without saying anything about it. Tests showed a positive result.

Botagoz was glad that she found a donor, but when she found out that it was her son, she was scared and against it. However, the son insisted with the slogan "to my mother lived!".

The operation was successful, the mother and son are in good health. Currently, Botagoz is a well-known public figure with an active life position. And now she came to express her gratitude to the entire NRCC team. Medics put Botagoz on her feet when she almost lost hope.

During the event, Botagoz presented personal letters of gratitude to doctors for professionalism, moral and psychological support in difficult times, for warm and cordial attitude to patients, as well as to all junior staff for conscientious performance of their duties.

Patients receiving treatment center, which Botagoz inspired by her example and love of life, also attended the event.

The doctors were very pleased to receive such a response from the patient. In turn, they wished Balgereeva, B. Kh. good health and prosperity.
