From March 29 to April 9, at the National Scientific Oncological Center, a training course for urologists, oncologists of regional oncological centers and the city of Nur-Sultan took place.
On April 9, at the National Scientific Oncological Center in Nur-Sultan (hereinafter - NSC), a two-week cycle of advanced training on the topic: "Endovideosurgery in urology and oncourology" was completed. The training cycle was conducted by the surgeon of the National Scientific Research Center, oncologist, Master of Medicine, PhD candidate - Talgat Amanzholovich Kurmanov.
Such training events are carried out by the doctors of the National Scientific Research Center for specialists from the regions and other medical organizations of the capital on an ongoing basis. Purpose: broadcasting experience to improve the skills of performing minimally invasive, low-traumatic methods of treating malignant pathologies of the urinary system.
The development of oncourology and the introduction of high-tech treatment methods allowed the NNOC to take a leading position among the multidisciplinary oncological clinics in the republic. Among the achievements, the introduction of new technologies, such as:
- Laparoscopic intestinal plastic of the ureter with extended ureteral strictures;
- Laparoscopic cystectomy with Neobladder shaping.
This time, the event was attended by doctors from various regional oncological clinics in Kazakhstan (Almaty, Aktobe, Kokshetau, Kostanay, including those from Nur-Sultan). The training was held with a detailed description of the anatomical and technical features of the performance of endourological operations. All specialists were given the opportunity to take part in operations as assistants. During the training, the specialists not only watched and observed, but also asked questions of interest.
During the training cycle, the course participants were able to improve their skills in removing tumors of the bladder and kidneys, performing reconstructive operations to recreate the bladder, as well as organ-preserving and laparoscopic operations.
“Minimally invasive methods of treatment are by far the most relevant in the world and are the most modern methods that allow not only minimizing surgical trauma and shortening the recovery period, but also preserving the quality of life. This cycle of endourology mainly brought together experienced doctors, operating clinicians and practicing doctors. Therefore, the cycle was very interesting. We discussed and analyzed clinical cases, treatment tactics, etc. I would like to note that the work of the team of doctors of the National Scientific and Research Center and medical equipment is delivered at a professional level. I also want to thank all the organizers and leaders of the center for providing such an opportunity, ”noted the surgeon, oncologist Raykhanova Lyazzat Zhangazievna (Aktobe).
“Such events contribute to strengthening professional ties, gaining valuable experience in performing minimally invasive methods of treating malignant neoplasms and transferring innovative technologies from the country's leading clinics to the regions,” said surgeon, oncologist Rauan Askarovich Nurgaliev (Kokshetau).
