July 27, Prime Minister of RK Askar Mamin visited the National scientific cancer center in Nur-Sultan, which is under construction on behalf of the First President of RK - Elbasy N. Nazarbayev.
Mamin was informed about the implementation of the Road Map on the construction of a new scientific cancer center, introduced with the scheme of designing the room. Scientific oncocenter consists of 6 floors, including the basement. The total area of the building is more than 49 thousand m². Building area is more than 16 thousand m². Construction is scheduled to be completed in March 2021.
The new center will use advanced technologies for the diagnosis and treatment of cancer, including laser, radiation and cell-immune therapy using the experience of already established cardiac and neurosurgical clusters.
To date, the work on the installation of temporary buildings and structures, dismantling of existing administrative and household buildings, digging a pit, dewatering, piling has been carried out, and foundation work has also begun.
In 2018, the Government adopted a Comprehensive plan on fighting against cancer for 2018-2022, which provides for improving the quality of rendering medical services, updating the fleet of equipment in oncology clinics.
During the visit, the issue of transfer of land site from "Nazarbayev University" to the republican ownership for the construction of a new scientific cancer center was also considered.
