Today, August 31, 2019 with the participation of Deputy Prime Minister Berdibek Saparbayev a field meeting on implementation course of instructions of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan on construction of the National scientific oncological center in Nur-Sultan was held.
Minister of healthcare of RK Birtanov E.A., akim of Nur-Sultan Kulginov A., Chairman of the Board of the National scientific oncology center Burkitbaev Zh.K., director of construction "Mabetex group" Hayrizi B., Deloitte TSF project manager Miller M., "IT Engineering SA" project manager Kaygorodov A. took part in the work of the meeting.
Chairman of the Board of the National scientific cancer center Zhandos Burkitbaev acquainted Berdibek Saparbayev with the implementation progress of the Road Map on the construction and the scheme of designing of the building. Scientific oncocenter will consist of 6 floors, including the basement. The total area of the building is more than 49 thousand m². Building area is more than 16 thousand m².
The structure of the new Center will include proton, nuclear, radiation therapy centers, pathomorphological laboratory, pharmacy, department of radiation and functional diagnostics, emergency room, clinical departments of hospitals, operating unit, interventional surgery with the use of radiopharmaceuticals, department of oncohematology and bone marrow transplantation.
To date, the work on the installation of temporary buildings and structures, dismantling of existing administrative and household buildings, digging a pit, dewatering, piling has been carried out, and foundation work has begun.
During the visit, the issue of accelerating the process of transfer of land site, the main building of the NSOC and pathomorphology from AEO "Nazarbayev University" to the republican ownership was also considered.
It is planned that the new center will become a leading cancer center of international level in Central Asia with an exemplary infrastructure. Advanced technologies of diagnostics and treatment of oncological diseases, including laser, radiation and cell-immune therapy with the use of international experience will be used.
We remind you that In 2018, the Government adopted a Comprehensive plan on fighting against cancer diseases for 2018-2022, which provides for improving the quality of rendering medical services and updating the fleet of equipment in oncology clinics, as well as the construction of a new National cancer center.
