On March 9, 2021, the National Scientific Cancer Center will host an Open Day dedicated to International Women's Day, with the aim of preventing and early diagnosis of tumor diseases of the female reproductive system.

Currently, over 180 thousand cancer patients are registered with oncological organizations in Kazakhstan. 15 thousand people die from cancer every year.

Malignant neoplasms of the female reproductive system are still among the most common types of cancer. Thus, breast cancer remains the leading malignant pathology in the female population, ranking first in terms of prevalence - 4955 cases (2019). Cervical cancer also occupies a leading position, being in fourth place in terms of the prevalence of the disease - 1,797 cases (2019).

As you know, the fight against cancer is one of the priority areas of health care in the Republic of Kazakhstan. The state is taking comprehensive measures to provide cancer care to the population. Thus, the diagnosis and treatment of cancer patients in the country is carried out within the guaranteed volume of free medical care (guaranteed volume of medical care) and compulsory health insurance.

In addition, since last year, the norms of the Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On people's health and the health care system" and the Labor Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan came into force, securing the right of working citizens to social leave - at least 3 days, which is issued for undergoing screening examinations. That is, according to the law, the employer is obliged to release employees freely to undergo screening with the preservation of wages and jobs.

To identify oncopathologies of the female reproductive system, screenings are carried out among the healthy population in the polyclinic at the place of attachment: for breast cancer (women), cervical cancer (women).

The National Scientific Cancer Center, guided by the mission of prevention, early diagnosis and treatment of precancerous and tumor pathologies, is holding an open day dedicated to the preservation of women's health.

On this day, women who are not registered at the oncological dispensary are invited to the NSC to undergo examination and receive free advice from the best specialists: mammologists, gynecologists.

However, please note that given the epidemiological situation, this action cannot be massive and will be carried out subject to the following conditions:

- Examinations and examination by specialists on this day will be carried out strictly by appointment at the Consultative and Diagnostic Center of the National Scientific Research Center (hereinafter referred to as CDC) and in compliance with sanitary and hygienic standards. - The survey is carried out for women who are not registered for cancer.

- Those who wish to be examined must appear on their own without being accompanied by relatives, relatives and children. If necessary, one accompanying person is allowed.

- If you feel unwell, it is necessary to refrain from examination, as persons with high fever and signs of colds and infectious diseases will not be admitted to the CDC.

- You must have an identity card with you, and you can also bring the results of previous examinations with you, if any.
