Today in the National Scientific Oncological Center in a solemn atmosphere the Chairman of the Board G. Kulkaeva was awarded the diploma on conferring the title of honorary professor to the hepatobiliary surgeon, transplantologist Zheksembaev Asan Aitmukashevich.

Excellence in Healthcare of the Republic of Kazakhstan, member of the Association of Surgeons of Kazakhstan, Doctor Zheksembaev is one of the most authoritative specialists in the field of surgery with 40 years of experience in medicine. Having educated more than one generation of talented doctors, he made an invaluable contribution to the development of the surgical direction in oncology and to the health care system as a whole.

Asan Aytmukashevich stood at the origins of the formation of modern trends in domestic medicine. Thus, with his direct guidance and participation, hepatopancreatobiliary surgery and liver transplantation from a cadaver and a "living" donor were developed in Kazakhstan. Based on the application of innovative surgical concepts for the treatment of liver, biliary and pancreatic cancers, Asan Aytmukashevich has saved the lives of hundreds of patients. Dr. Zheksembaev has performed more than 30 liver transplant operations.

Asan Aytmukashevich actively participates in scientific activities. He is the author of more than 20 scientific works, both in international and domestic sources, which have become the basis of modern trends in clinical medicine.
