It has become a good tradition at the National Scientific Cancer Center to discuss reports with colleagues on the clinical effectiveness of the treatment of malignant tumors.
So, today, on February 8, the oncologist-surgeon of the Center for Multidisciplinary Surgery, Altai Kuanyshbekovich Kerimkulov presented to the attention of colleagues a report on the treatment of stomach cancer from 2015-2020 at the National Scientific and Research Center.
In the presented analysis, statistical data on the performed surgical interventions based on a multidisciplinary approach, on the overall survival of patients sounded.
During the report, it was noted that a greater number of radical surgeries for gastric cancer were performed using minimally invasive technologies (laparoscopic method), which reduce the risk of postoperative complications and shorten the duration of patients' stay in the clinic.
To date, laparoscopic gastrectomy in the region carried out only at the National Scientific Cancer Center thanks to the professional training of doctors and the equipment of the clinic with the necessary equipment.
During the presentation, the speaker outlined the main problems and ways to solve them in terms of diagnostics and treatment of gastric malignancies.
Among the problematic issues voiced, attention paid to the peculiarities of rehabilitation after treatment of stomach cancer, which is necessary for the prevention of postoperative complications and improvement of the overall prognosis of treatment.
